Or, apparently it's also possible that you have farmed BotGC members like Asmodaan, Johan and Curena as they seem to be loosing pants-down. Nice one Band, you have a HUN against you that has sat above a tent for his levels, and then "rp'd" his pvp-exp... and you manage to loose. Another top claim of Epic Fails for Band!

ReplyDeleteHowever I know couple cases who had made their pvp level 4 by grinding it at lower levels. Like our boys Bloodhyed ToS and Novemosse Barbarian example. Also that Almas HoX pvp level 5 from HUNs got over 7000+ kills. I wonder if he has been pain at lower levels... hmm, maybe not. With Empire endless list of NAPs their PvP levels will take around 2 years to grind legit way I think.

pvp system is broken in aoc. these players are exploiters (dodx ,almas) maybe but you can not prove it.pay attention about the players around you.i started to see so much players at pvp lvl5 or 4 in aquilonian. argonauts,celestial,hun,scum,clan corag all of them contains these kind of players.can u prove it ? maybe they meet everyday and killing eachother(deathmatch).most of players in age of conan are grinding like this way.didn't u ever killed your friends in aoc to see who is better in pvp.some of them kills much more than the others.

In a "Game of Grinding", there will always be "easy" ways to grind and people that choose the easy path. The only solution against this problem is reduce the effect of PvP levels, and/or put "non-grinding" alternatives to reach same powers.
ReplyDeleteOtherwise we'll have to learn to play with them, or make grinding "official" so that everyone can play in the same ground. I hope that day never comes, but as watching current frustration, I fear it's not that far away.

ReplyDeletemy friend jedmau show me once some screenshots of many various guilds including scum exalted , enslave etc.. members who are ver low k/d ratio but high pvp level when the half of the server got banned because of that.
some got banned but some did not , and people are behaving them as noble respected players , this is also bullshit.
anyway for example hoximanya , erdi and jedmau ( jedmau is still level 2 - 2k for 3 when i talked yesterday )are the fighters who deserved their pvp levels ,
so please instead of blaming guilds please blame the players them selves.
and i hope my friend jedmau will find a solution for that as i know he is not happy with the current situation.

ReplyDeleteSome guys might be really from Fury, as we had MrsCalif for sometime from Fury which was PvP5. Some of those guys are leveling up at lowbie zones like our Bloodhyed. Both these scenerios are not exploiting or cheating. But yet again considering how hard to go to PvP5 (even in lowbie areas it took more than 2 months for Bloodhyed to reach PvP4), it's pretty frightening how many PvP5s are around.
ReplyDeleteIn a game of grinding it's actually inevitable, it's a design choice so if you ask me even grinding guild mates is not a "hack", although I despise it. It's pretty legal in current ruleset and since there is no penalty or cooldown for leaving guild and returning back, it's pretty easy to do that. Even as Gheos suggested Guild Leaders can kick those guys, then they'll find other guilds. A game is either a "grinding game" (like Lineage) or it's a skill based game (like AoC was advertised). If game moves to "grinding" from "skill" then skill based players start to abandon it and grind based players start to fill it. That's why most of old scumlings left the game when PvP levels introduced (not the rollback punishment)
But PvP levels are just a part of it. Actually it's not that hard to kill a PvP5 if he's not playing properly. But cheaters....that's the real problem. Because most cheaters already play good, they don't get caught easily by players.
On the other hand I can't accept cheaters can't get caught by or prevented by software itself. If he's using speed hack, he's moving faster than software expects and it's pretty easy to write a code that catchs it on client. If they are reading the network input to use a Radar, either don't send hidden users' location to client or encrypt the stuff. All these things can be handled at client mostly so don't put extra effort to servers.
But where is the time, money or will for writing such preventive code?

Well.. easy way to make Almas and Dodo-xor clear their names, as well as other "newly found pvp4-5 guys." Jsut post a screenshot with your /played showing. I meen, I´we been around from the launch and pretty active PvPwise, and still on lv3 toward 4. And i have around 10K kills...

It's not because some of them are using this easy path, but some of their officers are actually knowing what is happening and NOT announcing it's NOT respected by the guild. We even showed screenshots of some AHE players doing that, and it didn't result in anything
ReplyDeleteThere might be some rotten eggs in every guild (Future might show that even we can pick some wrong guy in a bad day). Shit happens and it's not the important thing. It's the Guild's stand against such activities what matters.
We also had some had some screenshots of players from another guild in a Nekkid-RP session, and we showed them. After that, officers of that guild appologized of what happened and they warned (perhaps kicked) those guys from their guild. After that noone ever read that guild's name as a "Nekkid RPer" from a scumlings fingers. That's what we expect from every guild, and that's what you should expect from us.

I am from Anatolian Hun Empire and I really wonder about two players in the server if they are cheating or not, pls let me know what you all think about them. First one is Notark from band of gray clover. He is a lvl 5 Asasin and he never dies,,, let me give u a clue what I am capable of first, I can kill almost every lvl 5 at one on one in Aquilonia but I just cant kill Notark in anyway possible, he ressist everything I ve got to use on him. So let me know what you think about him. Second one is Noctur from Empire, although I am not very sure about him I am having real hard time against this guy in minigames.. I killed him many times at one on one at duel arena before but apparently he gets almost immortal at minigames. I am not gonna mention the 2 TOS players alongside with him, but anyway its impossible for a group of very deadly premade 6 to hit noctur and kill at the same time. I want to make my self clear again, I am not claiming these players to be cheaters but I cannot stop my self thinking about it everytime I see them play.

Well guys I can't be an advocate of anyone but I saw Notark dead more than 100 times. 1vs1 he's better than me, my ego accepts it but he's not invincible at all. Just snare/root him two times (second one after he uses escape artist) and he's done. The hard thing is hitting him as he runs around you like a headless chicken. More harder thing is hitting him while preventing him to hit you. But yes, he dies as fast as any lotus sin if he can't run around
ReplyDeleteAbout resists, well as you know lotus sins are good against such attacks. They have enough anti-ccs and good protection against spell damage. It might be the problem you faced against him
I have no idea about the vanish ability. But one thing that might confuse you is the distance. Getting out of combat is not related to distance. It's about not getting hit for some time. He might be running around you for 10-15 seconds evading your hits and then he can vanish pretty well, though animation and sound should be there.
About Noctur, one of our guys claimed to saw him charge three times in half a minute, in a minigame. Well I didn't see it with my eyes so I don't want to blame him, as he is a good HoX anyways
About cheating in general, unfortunately it exists. One of my friends decided to test all those myhts and legends on a steril environment and reported that those cheats are possible:
1. Teleport
2. Fast move
3. Neverending stamina
4. Radar
I have no idea that if you can buff your damage or resistance through cheats. But after that test he really become paranoid of the cheaters and lost most of his interest in game.
It's so sad that FUNCOM doesn't act fast enough against cheating. Preventing most of those cheats is damn simple by programming. But I suppose they just don't care about it.
